'90s-Style Timberland Boots Make a Comeback

Timberlands are one of the most recognizable shoes of all time, and, in the fashion world the they're suddenly more popular than ever. Launched 40 years ago as a durable, waterproof shoe for workmen, the wheat-colored boots were repurposed in the 1990s by members of the hip-hop community like Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, TLC, and Aaliyah. Record producer and rapper Timothy Zachery Mosley even got his now-famous stage name (you probably know him better as Timbaland) thanks to his fondness for the shoes. By the time the new millennium rolled around, Tims were a style staple. Jennifer Lopez famously rocked Timberland-inspired Manolo Blahnik heels in her 2002 "Jenny From the Block" music video, and Beyonce and her then-boyfriend Jay-Z wore matching Timberland-style boots in their "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" video. Even Victoria and David Beckham were spotted wearing matching Tims way back when. Now, with the recent resurgence of '90s fashion trends, Timberlands have been spotted on the feet of trendsetters like Rihanna, Khloe Kardashian, and Kanye West. Beyonce recently Instagrammed a photo of her family's Timberland collection (yes, baby Blue Ivy wears them too).

  1. www.PalladiumBoots.com's boots are another great style of boot for travel because they are super versatile and they look cool. These boots look great and they get good reviews, but there are plenty of other styles/brands available. My perosnal opinion.
